Team Up Washington gives high school coaches the training and tools to help athletes build healthy relationships, practice respect, and become leaders in their schools and communities.
Through three proven programs, Coaching Boys Into Men, Athletes as Leaders, and CHAMP Excellence, coaches and athletic mentors learn how to lead short, meaningful conversations with their teams about relationships, respect, and preventing sexual assault and dating abuse.
Why sports?
There’s more to sports than winning games. Sports are also where young people learn about teamwork, leadership, respect, and how to treat others.
Coaches play an important role in shaping those lessons. They can help athletes recognize unhealthy behaviors, speak up when something isn't right, and build relationships based on respect.
Team Up Washington helps coaches bring these conversations into their everyday work with athletes. By talking openly about healthy relationships and challenging harmful behaviors, coaches can help prevent sexual assault and dating abuse before they happen.
